Giveaway: Don't Kill The Birthday Girl

The first winner of our two-day "Don't Kill the Birthday Girl" raffle is Vanessa Muna.  Vanessa can pick up her free copy of Sandra Beasley's memoir at our Food Allergies Rock event.  Congratulations!

With our Food Allergies Rock event right around the corner and Halloween fresh in our memories, we wanted to "treat" our readers to a giveaway everyday this week!
Today we will be giving away a copy of Don't Kill The Birthday Girl: Tales from an Allergic Life.  This is writer-poet Sandra Beasley's memoir of her childhood and early adulthood living with life-threatening food allergies.
Sandra Beasley's book is part allergy education, part heartbreak, part humor, and part success.  Above all, it's a book of Ms. Beasley's reality as a person with more than a dozen food allergies and her many allergic reactions, risky choices, and victories along the way.  It's a story that food-allergic parents crave to read because chances are many or most of our children will not outgrow their food allergies either.  We want to know what to expect.  We want to get to know someone who survived their childhood and is thriving with food allergies even now.

To find out more about Ms. Beasley, check her impressive list of literary works and our previous post with some of her allergy-friendly party-planning tips.

To enter the drawing:
RSVP by 11:59pm PST today (Wednesday, November 2nd) for our Food Allergies Rock concert at our event page and your name will be entered in the drawing.  Guests who previously registered but have not won a prize are automatically entered in this latest drawing.  A winner will be drawn and announced on our blog the following day.

Please note that prizes must be picked up at the "Food Allergies Rock!" concert event.  Unclaimed prizes will go back in the prize pot and be raffled away in a future online giveaway.

Good luck!
