Food Allergies Rock Event - November 6, 2011

Get Allergy Wise celebrates food allergy awareness in Golden Gate Park with singer Kyle Dine and guest speaker Mireille Schwartz of Bay Area Allergy Advisory Board (BAAAB).

Please join us for this FREE event, including a kids' concert, vendor sampling booths, kids' activities, and goodie bags.  This event is open to ALL families, since you don't have to have food allergies to rock!

We will also host a Halloween Candy Trade-In at the event!  Bring your unsafe and unwanted candies and a gently used children's book for each of your participating kids.  After the concert, choose a "new-to-you" book from the collection table!

Get Allergy Wise
Get Allergy Wise is a Bay Area-based blog that offers a community for sharing educational resources, modified recipes and crafts, reviews of allergy-friendly products, and real stories of two moms’ food adventures outside of the home.  Get Allergy Wise empowers families with knowledge and confidence to manage daily and long-term challenges associated with food allergies while also spreading awareness to non-allergic communities.

Alternatively, we invite you pick up or pack a lunch and bring it along.  If the weather is nice, you can eat a picnic lunch outside on the lawn, or enjoy it inside at one of our lunch tables.  We just ask that you keep everything nut-free as it is a nut-free event.
